Fabrication means ‘the action or process of manufacturing or inventing something’. As this gallery shows, we use different metals – stainless steel, copper, brass – to make remarkable things. Do you think the sheet metal industry has a shortage of skilled tradespeople because young men and women mistakenly believe fabrication is simply pressing buttons on a big machine?
